Trial Class
If you're considering dance classes but aren't ready to commit, we encourage you or your child to come and trial a class. While you can observe from the waiting room, experiencing a class first hand will help you make a more informed decision.
You can now book a TRIAL class anytime of the year. It will not fully commit you to a term of dance classes. We understand the importance of finding the right fit for you or your child and that you want to be happy before paying fees and fully committing to a term of 8-10 weekly lessons.
HOW TO BOOK :
STEP 1 = Register on the Studio Portal with the name and contact details. Find a class of choice & book a single trial class. The fee is $15 (preschool classes), $20 (Youth/School aged classes), or $25 (Adult classes).
Please contact the Studio Manager, if you want some guidance choosing a class to trial. You are also welcome to come and view classes from the waiting room to help you choose before booking.
STEP 2 = Let us know if you enjoyed. After the trial class, chat to the teacher or Studio Manager about whether you (or your child) enjoyed. If you wish to continue, we then pro-rata a block/term of weekly fees for the remaining classes of the term.
We do not accept walk ins or surprise arrivals. The class teachers do need to know about your child’s attendance in advance, as they are responsible for your child during the session. It also holds up the start of class for other dancers.
We recommend attending 2 lessons before finalising your decision. Sometimes, children may prefer to sit and watch rather than participate in their first class. It's a new experience for them, and their dreams and expectations of what a dance class entails may differ from reality, which can cause confusion. By the second class, you'll have a clearer understanding of your child's happiness. If you're unsure, please discuss your concerns with your child's teacher.
We've established a Happiness Guarantee (quick link) to provide you with extra assurance. If you've paid full tuition and are unsatisfied after attending 2 lessons, please email the Studio Manager no later than the third week of the term. We will gladly refund the remainder of the term's lessons, no questions asked.
I need guidance before booking a trial >
My daughter has been with Dance Wanaka since she was 4 years old, in that time she has developed from a child who had anxiety going to class into a confident dancer who loves to be on stage.
